It's All but a Passing Ph8se

                                                                   Isaiah 40:8
"The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God stands forever."

I have a question for you. What do you want to do with your whole life? What do you want to spend your whole life doing, pursuing, running after...trying to become? In 2 Corinthians 4:18 it says, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." But real quick>>

I had a dream about an older man who was in the military last night. I ran out to the car to talk with him. He had long grey hair. I shouted, you know, I've always wanted to do this! (In my dream, I wanted to wear the uniform, I wanted to serve my country, I wanted to always have security for me and my family) I told him, I shouted, I've always wanted to do this!!! I've dreamed about doing this!!! He just looked at me and said, "I've been a mechanic in the army for my whole life. If I could go back, I would change that." And then I woke up-and God started speaking to me. For those of you who do not know, there was a time in my life where I was fixing on going into the air national guard to take up nursing...but God had closed that door... to the military.

>>>I ASK YOU, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR WHOLE LIFE? I know your probably thinking, wow Elyse, what a question! I mean what a question!! I know right?! I know it seems pretty far fetched and out there, but there is something stirring in my spirit and I'm desperate. Keep reading.<<<

The kingdom of God is unseen and yet it is eternal. The kingdom of this world is seen-it's seen everyday, we live in it-but it is temporary. What do I mean? The things and people of this world are constantly passing away. There's no other way to say it. Cars eventually break down and rust, money clothes, even our bodies in due time wear out and deteriorate. We can't control that, and frankly never will. Jesus said, "you can gain the whole world but lose your soul." (Matthew 16:26)

The worlds kingdom is a deceiving place. It's Satan's fun house. Satan even has put up those fun house mirrors all around, because he doesn't want you to see the way God sees you. In fact he doesn't want you to believe what God says about you either. And to go a little further- He'll do anything to distract you and blind you from the illuminating gospel (God's word) because --- he doesn't want you to hear God's voice AND God's voice is the truth! The truth that breaks all deception, bondage's, and heals all diseases and silences the lies of the enemy that tries to destroy your very soul and drag it to hell with him.

God is your creator and maker!! He cares about you, in fact your on his mind every moment of every day! He says in Song of Songs 4:7 All beautiful you are, my darling (my child, MY CREATION-notice how he takes ownership) All beautiful you are my darling, there is no flaw in you. In Christ you will find security, your self worth, your value, your significance, direction, forgiveness, you'll find HOPE  and everything that you will ever need in Him!!! He wants the best for you, just like how a good father wants the best for his child! He desires to have a relationship with you! But you will not find any of those things that I listed in the worlds kingdom. In the world we live in today! Satan's fun house. Satan only wants to destroy you and drag your soul to hell to be with him for all eternity. I don't think Satan, ya I don't think he wants to be lonely when his time comes... Satan knows his fate (Revelation 20:10) he'll be thrown into the lake of fire never to roam free ever again-but that's his eternal doom and he chose it! It says in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." Also, in John 10:10 that, "The enemy comes only to steal kill and destroy, but I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full!" In John 8:44 it says, "Satan was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Leonard Ravenhill said this, "There is only one way to go to heaven, but a million ways to go to hell." One day we will all stand before our maker and give an account. If I'm going to spend an eternity with my Maker, I want to know this Maker. I can tell you right now, that my life has never been the same, since I decided that I wanted to know God. God is powerful. I am filled and baptized with the holy spirit. He lives in me, and his power is in me. I've seen people healed, set free and delivered, crying screaming out for help and for change, because they know they needed God... their at the end of their rope. A need shows a lack there of. We will always be in need of God. Satan prowls like a lion...Can you tame a lion? (NO) Can you tame sin? (NO) Both will lead to your self destruction. Satan makes this fun house world look fun, he even wants you to open doors to the things that seem fun (like bars, clubs, strip clubs whatev, even things like watching a scary movie...you will open a door to fear-but see it looks like so much fun!  But it all leads to your self destruction....you don't have to choose hell. I feel like God is saying WAKE UP (ISAIAH 52) WAKE UP O SLEEPY GENERATION....search me while I still can be found...

I challenge you to be different. Don't follow the patterns of this world, be different be changed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12) Read the Gospel seek the truth, Seek God's face. When you seek Him you shall find Him (Jeremiah 29:13) Chase after things that are eternal that will last forever (that mean the most) and that are from God! God's love is eternal and it's the greatest treasure that you can have and give to others. Leaving imprints on others hearts, marking them with God's eternal love that will last forever. His love changes lives! Saves them! Gives us all a hope and a future!! (Jeremiah 29:11) What do I want to do with my whole life? You know I'm not really sure...but I am sure of one thing. My whole life, I will choose to serve the LORD Almighty. Day by day. I will pursue truth. I will run after the Living God who gives life and to the full. There are generations lost, hurt and dying crying out for help and I will choose to be Jesus to those people. The world is nothing but a passing ph8se. But I will leave a legacy I am marked for ever and ever. What will you choose?

"I will declare it to the next generation" (psalms 71)
